DMM's Shadow biner is advertised as the best solid gate biner in the world. Probably. It has been manufactured from a new alloy which when combined with their I-beam hot-forging technology gives even greater strength - the Shadow features a massive 10kn gate open strength.

The Shadow also incorporates a new keylock nose which basically means it antisnag. This seems to be becoming the new standard for biners.

Ergonomically this biner just feels right and clipping is really easy. The inside of the biner has a really deep basket so that the rope is guided towards the spine for added safety. The gate incorporates a CNC'ed finger recess to make clips fast and secure.
